So often we may find ourselves caught in patterns of busying, avoiding, and distracting only to find ourselves anxious, down, exhausted, and stuck. Individual therapy is carved out time for yourself where you can explore values and aspirations, notice habitual patterns, design new thoughts and attitudes, cultivate self-compassion, and access your own wisdom and strength that resides in you.

I work with individuals who are moving through life transitions. Many are looking for ways to better manage the stress that comes with life changes. I also work with those who are navigating the impacts of trauma. Some of my specialities include anxiety, depression, obsessive compulsive disorder, burn out, relationships, cancer, and grief & loss.

My approach is relational in nature. I strive to create a warm space where you can land gently and welcome yourself—just as you are. I place a high value on the worth and dignity of all people and embrace the beauty that radiates from our unique identities, backgrounds, and experiences. I use a multifaceted approach that promotes a sense of curiosity and self-awareness. I draw from Gestalt, cognitive-behavioral, exposure and response prevention, trauma-informed, and body and mindfulness-based models. My goal is to help clients overcome challenges and optimize joy and well-being in their lives.

What to expect

Starting therapy is a big step, and it is normal for it to feel overwhelming. Prior to the intake session, I will send you a brief intake form with questions that will help guide us as we begin to get to know one another. We will explore what brought you to therapy and your goals for therapy. We will review any questions you may have about the therapeutic process and talk about my approach to counseling.
