Meet Michelle.

Michelle Fuentes, MA, LPC

(She/her/hers)

I am a licensed professional counselor who is passionate about serving the community and supporting individuals in wellness. As a former classroom teacher and school counselor, I have extensive experience working with children, adolescents, and families. In addition, I worked at Temple University’s counseling center as a therapeutic counselor. Beyond individual therapy, I offered adjunct yoga therapy sessions and facilitated yoga and meditation groups for anxiety, depression, as well as trauma.

Sometimes the challenges that we face feel overwhelming and stressful, and we do not feel equipped to manage what is unfolding before us. As a breast cancer thriver, I have compassionate understanding for the difficulties of navigating life transitions. It is in this life struggle that I found my place “on the mat”. Through the practices of yoga, meditation, and mindfulness (and therapy), I was able to slow down, come out of my head, and deeply listen to my body and my heart. I learned how to come home to me. In 2015, I wanted to dig deeper and completed my 200 hour yoga teacher certification at Dig Yoga in Lambertville, NJ. It is through this journey that I learned the importance of holistic healing and the practice of peaceful embodiment.
